The Northeast Texas Community College Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams arrived back to campus to begin practice on August 10, 2021. After a crazy year of cancellations, moving the season from fall to spring, the Eagles are looking forward to playing a fall schedule again.
AUSTIN – Despite much lower traffic levels around Texas schools due to the pandemic, there were still hundreds of crashes in school zones last year. So as millions of Texas students return to class, the Texas Department of Transportation is reminding drivers to watch out for kids walking and biking to school to keep everyone safe.
Pittsburg School has a new football coach, and he is doing things a little differently this year. Coach Abron is not new to the game however, as his 18 years of coaching experience will attest.
It has been discovered that between 75 percent and 95 percent of all flowering plants in the earth need to be pollinated. Pollinators provide their services to over 180,000 different plant species and more than 1,200 crops. In other words, one out of every three bites of food we eat is there because of pollinators. In dollars and cents, they add $217 billion to the global economy and honey bees alone are responsible for between $1.2 and $5.4 billion in agricultural productivity in the US. They also are responsible for supporting environmental systems that provide clean air, protect soil from erosion, and wildlife from distinction.
