Representative Pat Fallon, of Texas Congressional District 4, recently attended a series of Town Hall meetings throughout the district. Rep. Fallon was in Morris County, at the Morris County Annex, on Aug. 18, and at the Pittsburg High School Auditorium in Camp County immediately following. Titus County also hosted a Town Hall meeting for Rep. Fallon on Aug. 19.
The City of Pittsburg has a new Police Chief as of Thursday, Aug. 19. Matthew Lemarr began his career in the Pittsburg Police Department as a jailer in 2002. Since then, he has spent 19 years in the department, serving the community of Pittsburg.
In the August 19 issue of the Pittsburg Gazette a mistake was made in the article titled “Camp County Commissioners Propose Higher Tax Rate”. It was erroneously reported that “The Commissioners are currently considering a 6.2 percent increase in the tax rate.” In reality, the commissioners are not considering a tax rate increase; the 0.4689 percent tax rate is the same as it has been since 2017.
