Recently, a very special service was held for four men who had been members of the American Legion. These men were: Burnis Covington, Royal F. Wertz, Ferry C. Goforth, and Vance G. Jacobs.
A tractor held up traffic on Friday when one of the chains securing it to a trailer broke at the intersection, allowing it to roll off the back and flip over. Northeast Texas Community College has an agricultural program that is working to effect a sustainable farm on 20 acres of college property managed by Mrs. Rene’ McCracken, Director of Agriculture. The farm operates on the idea that no farm is truly sustainable unless it is economically stable as well.
