At the Pittsburg school board meeting on Monday, the PISD district nurses were honored with Pirate Gold Awards. These people were: Laurie Smith, Director of Health Services; Sheila Gray, Elementary Campus; Brook Ratley, Intermediate Campus LVN; Lori Hooper, Jr. High Campus; and Renee Yarbrough, High School Campus.
The Pittsburg Economic Development Corporation voted to recommend approval to the City Council for participation in a private/public project with People’s Net on expanding essential broadband fiber infrastructure in Pittsburg with a defined performance agreement. The fall days are getting shorter, and so, apparently, are the agendas. The Camp County Commissioners Court met on Wednesday in regular session and finished in roughly ten minutes.
