COURTESY PHOTO Members of the Northeast Texas Community College Business Club recently presented a check for $500 to the NTCC Foundation. The donation will provide a business student with a scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. This is the second year the Business Club has given a scholarship. Club members raise hinds by participating in various events on campus and selling chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine’s Day. This is one of only a few student-led scholarships at NTCC. In addition to donating this scholarship, the Business Club will also host a free community Easter Egg Hunt on April 4 at10 a.m. on the NTCC Campus. Ages 0-12 are welcome to participate.
In the interest of public health, Better Business Bureau serving Central East Texas will be canceling the 2020 BBB Awards for Excellence taking place March 17, 2020 at the CrossWalk Conference Center.
Mount Pleasant, TX. When many people go to donate to the homeless or less fortunate, they bring along supplies such as food, blankets, and coats. Out of all of the items donated, socks are often left out. Most may not think about it, but a good pair of socks is extremely valuable to someone who is homeless.
The Pirates played four games in the Van Tournament, Mar. 11-12. The Schedule was bumped up to Thursday and Friday due to the possibility of rain over the weekend.
