COVID-19 has caused mass panic across the country in just a few short weeks. The hysteria sweeping the nation has truly brought out the best and the worst in people. The worst are those buying 17 jumbo packs of toilet paper, 30 cans of baby formula, 10 packages of baby wipes, 50 bottles of soap, 28 boxes of diapers, and all the non-perishable food items they can find. Do they really not see what’s wrong with this? Even if they caught coronavirus, they would not be sick long enough to use even half of that! Unless your back-side is literally the size of Rhode Island, you don’t need 270 rolls of TP. As for wipes and formula, if you don’t have a baby, you don’t need these items! If you do, don’t hoard supplies. You buying 30 cans of formula that your child cannot possibly ingest in that time span is causing parents to fear the inability to feed their children. There were enough supplies for everyone, and some of you ruined that. Even grocery shopping is nearly impossible. COVID-19 has also brought out a lot of hate. I saw a Facebook post last night where a girl was making horrible racial slurs towards a family. She was apparently offended by the family wearing masks, and decided to publicly blame them for coronavirus. The things she said were disgusting. I have seen an insane amount of hate coming from all sides in this pandemic hysteria, and that not that’s visible through it.
