Last week, Governor Greg Abbott declared a State of Disaster for all Texas counties amid “violent protests that endanger public safety and threaten property loss and damage" Abbott said his motivation for the declaration included protection of property, protection of peaceful protestors, maintaining order in the state, and the ability to accelerate the use of resources deployed.
