ETJGT enjoys better weather in Pittsburg

The East Texas Junior Golf Tour is in its fifth year providing summer golf tournaments for East Texas area youth. This tour allows youth golfers to compete in tournaments and accumulate points based upon where they place in each tournament to qualify for a 36-hole Tour Championship to be played at Mount Pleasant Country Club. In the Tour Championship the youth golfers have caddies to carry their clubs and give advice on Club and shot selection.
Bob Sandlin — EXCELLENT. Water lightly stained; 72 degrees; 0.24’ high. Black bass are excellent on square billed crankbaits, Texas-rigged plastic worms 7-12’. Plastic frogs and topwater plugs are working early in 2-7’ in or near grass, and lily pads Crappie are good on jigs and minnows in creeks fishing in 12-20’ near brush piles and submerged structure. Catfish are excellent on cut bait in 6-18’.
