After kicking off their season by finishing second in their own tournament, the Pittsburg Pirate soccer team went 2-0-1 in the Tatum Tournament this past weekend.
The Pittsburg Pirates hoped to open district play with two wins to start 2022 on the right foot. The Pirates opened their district schedule at home last Tuesday against Paris.
The Lady Pirates’ powerlifting team competed in Sabine, placing fifth out of 10 teams. Several of the girls placed within the top five of their designated weight class.
The Pirates wrestling team represented Pittsburg at the Winnsboro Tri-Dual competing against Winnsboro and Whitehouse on Jan. 6. Freshman Mason Knight went undefeated and finished 2-0 and is 4-0 for the season.
