If you are like me, you probably spend a good amount of time on social media. Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and so many more that I don’t even have a clue about, all give us various ways to keep in touch with and keep tabs on those we care about.
Gov. Greg Abbott has asked the Texas Legislature to increase the penalty for illegal voting, adding the item to the third special session now underway. However, House Speaker Dade Phelan, R-Beaumont, quickly rejected the proposal, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Dr. Beverly Spearman and Dr. Jessica Richardson of Spearman Eye Care gave a financial donation to the Pittsburg Lions Club last week that will be forwarded on to the Texas Lions Camp for Kids with Disabilities. Spearman Eye Care has been big supporters of the Pittsburg Lions Club for many years. They work hand in hand with the club to provide eye care to those who may not be able to receive eye care otherwise. Thank you Drs. Spearman and Richardson for all you do for our community.
