What Wikipedia Can’t Tell You

This is a follow up about Pittsburg’s local duplicate bridge club (PDBC) to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Association. Every year the Alzheimer’s Association designates the longest day of the year to focus on Alzheimer’s. For the past 10 years, American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) has raised $10M. Funds from the game on June 21 and donations from players and others kicked off the Longest Day in Pittsburg. That resulted in raising almost $1150 toward our 2024 goal of $1500.

During the Pittsburg Rotary Club’s regular meeting, they heard from Pat Smith, the Pittsburg Representative of Northeast Texas Municipal Water District. He discussed a brief history of NETMWD, how they operate now, and details of the Marvin Nichols Project.
