The PHS Concert band competed on Tuesday, March 28th in Gilmer and for the first time since the group was formed, received a Superior (I) rating in both the concert and sight reading assessments, earning the first sweepstakes for the group!
The Pittsburg Pirate track team traveled to Texarkana to take part in Liberty-Eylau’s Paul Parr Relays last week. Joining the Pirates in the boys division were the host Leopards, Atlanta, Daingerfield, Mount Pleasant, Paris and Pleasant Grove.
The Pittsburg Fire Department of Camp County received a $220,000 grant from the Texas A&M Forest Service Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program. The grant was used to purchase a 2022 Freightliner with a 1000-gallon water tank, foam, hoses, and other rescue equipment.
In the fall of 2021, Pittsburg ISD contracted with BWA Architects to do facility studies and determine what was needed to fix several issues regarding the buildings, overcrowding, etc. on the school campuses.
