AUSTIN – Governor Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton today issued joint guidance regarding the effect of Executive Order GA 14 on religious services conducted in congregations and houses of worship.
God’s Closet broke a record this week – one we have mixed emotions about. A record 800 families were helped with food during the month of March, almost double the normal amount, representing families from all across Camp county. We are honored to be able to serve them with bags and boxes of food staples, fresh fruit, and vegetables in the produce distribution. In the wake of COVID-19, many families will need to rely on local pantries and we will be here for you during this pandemic.
There are plenty of ingenious writers who can take a subject like a pandemic and magically turn it into a humorous look at the foibles of being human; making you smile and chuckle to yourself entirely despite yourself. I, unfortunately, am not that kind of writer.
So, with Easter Sunday this coming weekend, I thought I would take some time to share some of my thoughts.
Tiny living is not for the faint of heart. My husband and I downsized in February from a huge two-bedroom apartment to a home with 140 square feet. When we decided to go the tiny route, we knew we would have to get rid of a ton of stuff. We sat down together and made a list of things we had to have - then we cut that in half. Furniture, decor, and other large items had to go. Half of our clothing also had to go. We kept only what we knew we would need.
