On Friday, August 1, the red ribbon was cut for an events venue– a hidden gem along the country roads of northern Titus County.

Istood with a homeless friend, listening as he vented his frustration about a person who, in his eyes, only did good to be seen doing good. He spoke with an all-knowing tone, as if he could see right through the polished shoes and public prayers. “It’s for show,” he said, “just applause and influence.”
Real power

The longer I’m on this earth, the more celebrities I grew up with pass away, and there have been many recently. Each passing brings back memories, be it good or bad, of the time I followed those celebrities perform or compete. Along with all of the well known celebrities, musicians, and performers who have passed recently, just this week we lost Hulk Hogan, a muscled wrestler and a real showman. I never knew much about Hulk until his death. Funny how our lives are revealed in death.
