This proverb highlights the idea that a person’s inner thoughts and beliefs shape their true character and behavior, not just their outward actions or words. This leads us into our topic today about the importance of achieving and maintaining good mental health.

The Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum officially opened its newest exhibit on August 13. The exhibit is displayed outside the museum building and shows the history of Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative from 1935 to the present day.
Every year at the beginning of the school year, the Pittsburg Rotary Club organizes a teacher appreciation event to show the educators and faculty how much the community cares. On August 12, Pittsburg Independent School District teachers and staff were honored with breakfast and the chance to win door prizes. Over $18,000 worth of donations in the form of cash or prizes were collected from local businesses and individuals.
