Rotarians honored for continued service
The Pittsburg Rotary Club was well represented at the District 5830 Conference in Athens, Texas earlier this month. The event held special significance as it celebrated Pittsburg Rotarian, Carolyn Franks, for her service as District Governor for 2022-2023. Members who attended included Franks, Past District Governor; Angela Saucier, 2023-2024 Club President; Roni Arias, President-Elect; and Charlie Wilson, President Nominee. Arias was awarded one of nine Rotary District 5830 service awards. The Pittsburg Rotary Club also received a Rotary International Citation Award celebrating an exemplary year of service in 2022-2023 under the leadership of Guy Cayo, who served as Club President during that time. District 5830 comprises 41 Rotary Clubs with more than 1,500 members. The Pittsburg Rotary Club meets at noon on Wednesdays at First Baptist Church in Pittsburg. Anyone interested in learning more about the Rotary mission is welcome to attend.
