The City of Pittsburg’s Economic Development Corporation awarded a $25,000 grant to the North Texas Community College (NTCC) Scholarship Fund to support the businesses of Camp County. This grant money is available to any businesses within the Camp County limits, and can be used for any workforce training through NTCC that will benefit their business.
When Greg and Janet Kats moved to Tyler to retire a year ago, the couple turned to hobbies to stay busy, Greg using his 3D printer to create different objects and Janet crocheting blankets and stuffed animals.
Each year The Pittsburg 4-H Club and a local vet clinic partner to host a week-long Rabies Vaccination Clinic with proceeds benefitting our 4-H club. This year we are excited to continue our new partnership with Piney Woods Animal Clinic for the 2022 Rabies Vaccination Clinic. It will be April 25-30, 2022. Hours are 8am-12pm and 1pm-5:30pm, Monday-Friday and 8am- 12pm on Saturday. We would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Broers for continuing this great cause.
The Pittsburg Library is getting ready for our Summer Reading Program! The theme this year is “Oceans of Possibilities”. Our Summer Reading Program starts June 1st-July 15th. Stay tuned for our list of Programs this year! Remember, we have Story Time every Thursday @4:00 pm!
