The Pittsburg ISD plans to present a bond election to the voters of Camp County in the near future. The last proposed bond election in Camp County for PISD was in May of 2016 for $11 million. This bond passed and was used to build the Jack Arnwine Gymnasium.
When Jamie Morrison learned she would have to deliver her baby early because she was experiencing pregnancy complications, she wasn’t worried because of her background as a NICU nurse herself.
The graduating seniors of the Class of 2022 were each presented with a shadow box in which is a gold cord and patch. The gold cords, given to the seniors at the beginning of the school year, are worn throughout the year at marches and contests. They are then gathered by the band boosters and presented as a keepsake to the seniors. This year, a patch from their previous uniforms was added to the box as an extra memento.
This past Sunday was Mother’s Day. A day to celebrate for many and a day to honor the one who brought you into this world with much pain and groaning. It is a very special day for a lot of folks. But, there are those, myself included, who do not have a mother to celebrate.
