A Walk Through Bethlehem event was hosted by Calvary Bible Church Dec. 8 and 9 at Lake Bob Sandlin; The Gazette, in error, reported that Calvary Baptist Church hosted the event. Calvary Bible Church is located at 411 N Van Buren Ave, Mount Pleasant.

Editor’s note: A letter to the editor from eight-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon earned a quick response in the form of an unsigned editorial published Sept. 21, 1897. Veteran newsman Francis Pharcellus Church wrote the piece that has since become the most reprinted newspaper editorial in history. It has appeared, whole or in part, in dozens of languages in movies and books and on posters and stamps, among other places. It’s presented here in its entirety:
