UT Health East Texas will offer a free lunch and learn seminar, Bariatric Robotic Surgery, on Friday, July 15, at the UT Health Tyler Pavilion, 801 Clinic Drive. Bariatric surgeon Dr. Hugh Babineau will give a presentation about a minimally invasive option for bariatric surgery.
On June 24, 2022, bridge players at Pittsburg Duplicate Bridge Club (PDBC) honored the strength and endurance of those facing Alzheimer’s disease by hosting a day of activities supporting The Longest Day®, an event benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association®. PDBC raised $398.00 for Alzheimer’s Association care, support and research programs. David Kiser, owner of Lala Pops homemade ice cream shop in downtown Pittsburg, visited the Pittsburg Lions Club on June 23 where he discussed future plans for Lala Pops including a diner to open next door. Quiznos, located at 410 Greer Blvd in the Gas Station officially cut the ribbon on June 27. Owner Chamal Kahanawita, native of Sri Lanka, came to the U.S. in 2005 and has earned three college degrees, starting out to build his own small business in 2018.
