Northeast Texas Community College will host its 36th annual Scare Affair event this Saturday, Oct. 26th. The event will include free trick-ortreating, bounce houses, food, games and more!
While most cancer happens by chance, about 5-10% of cases are hereditary. Hereditary cancers are caused by a harmful variant in a gene that runs in families and may be passed down from parents to children, causing a higher risk for cancer. For example, more than 60% of women who inherit a harmful variant in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes will develop breast cancer during their lifetime, compared to only about only about 13% of women in the general population.
NTCC’s theatre department hosted an acting movement workshop on Friday, October 18th, 2024. This was done in partnership with Paris Junior College’s theatre department and director Will Walker. About thirty students were in attendance, including three high school students from Chapel Hill.
Jo Lange hosted a meeting of The Twentieth Century Study Club in her lovely home. Members discussed plans and outings for the coming year. For lunch, one-half of the members brought a salad or dessert that was shared and enjoyed by all.
Northeast Texas Community College hosted the third National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association (NIRA) Southern Region Rodeo October 1819, 2024 at the Mount Pleasant Rodeo Association Arena.
