Veterans honored at annual ceremony
Pittsburg held its Veterans Day event on November 11 on the Camp County Courthouse lawn at Pittsburg’s Veterans Monument, hosted by the American Legion, Post 422.
Hee Haw comes to town
Pittsburg’s annual Hee Haw show transported viewers to Kornfield Kounty with live music and comedy performances. Based on the television variety show, Hee Haw started as a fundraiser for the PHS senior class fundraiser over twenty years ago, but has since evolved into a community benefit for the Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum.
PHS Majorettes advance to State
Pittsburg High School Majorettes received first division ratings for trio, ensemble, and solo performances. All eight Majorettes have advanced to the UIL State Twirling competition in May. Trio of Audrey Brown, Raegan Stuard, and Camryn Cato. Ensemble of Lilly Abernathy, Brylie Moore, Michelle Noriega, Laila Dorman, and Violeta Castillo. Soloists are Audrey Brown, Camryn Cato, Michelle Noriega, Lilly Abernathy, and Violeta Castillo.
