2025 Pittsburg Pirate Football All-District Selections for District 7-4A Division 2 honors go to 10 First Team players, 12 Second Team players, 6 Honorable Mentions including one Superlative award.
Pittsburg’s Girls Varsity Head Coach, John Chatham, when asked his coaching philosophy, said “Team, Team, Team.” The eight member team, who took the court on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, proved that adage. Gina Mackey and , consistently scored, with scoring guards #1 Kenly Willis, #3 Era Osornio and #5, Araceli Moreno. #10 Guard Natalie Gonzalez blocked a Spring Hill layup, which set up #23 Zion Allen for a three-pointer from the outside edge of the court. Final score had Pittsburg 40, Spring Hill 36.
Black Friday shoppers come to Pittsburg
The Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College will welcome acclaimed vocalist, pianist and Broadway star Michael Cavanaugh for Merry Rockin’ Christmas on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students.
