Pat Sistrunk and her granddaughter, Tatum Dungan, of Tyler, recently gave $2,000 to the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation.
Jefferson Davis College was created in 1897. By 1909 the college was moved to a new building (the building pictured) which was demolished. The college held classes from first grade through twelfth grade and included a teachers’ course which included all classes required for Texas teacher certification.
