Last week, the Pittsburg First United Methodist Church’s youth program decided to embark on a local missions trip. A team of children spent their day at God’s Closet/Camp County Cares, helping with food distribution and other tasks around the store.
On Saturday, June 5th, Cypress Basin Hospice kicked off their 35-year celebration by raising over $16,000 for charity care through a fundraising dinner at Nardello’s presented by Mayben Realty.
CASA of Titus, Camp, and Morris Counties is pleased to welcome Djuana Thomas and Ashley Earl. Djuana and Ashley took an oath before the Honorable Judge Saucier in Titus County Court on June 3, after completing 30 hours of training and courtroom observation. Both ladies are the newest CASA Volunteers who have accepted their first case, advocating for children that are in the foster care system. CASA volunteers work for the best interest of the child/children making sure they have a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible. CASA volunteers are citizens in our community, just like you, that want to make a difference in a child/children’s lives while they are removed from their families and placed in foster care.
