Susan Howell is retiring after 20 years with PISD. Nineteen of those years were spent as the administrative assistant to the Pittsburg ISD superintendent. Pittsburg ISD is proud to announce the results of the PJH and PHS Band’s Concert and Sight Reading Assessment at the University Interscholastic League’s Region 4 Assessment! Each spring, PISD bands are evaluated on prepared music as well as “sight reading,” a process where the band students study a piece of music for seven minutes before performing it for a panel of certified music adjudicators.
