On Saturday, June 5, enjoy an epic musical event for a cause with COVID-19 precautions in place at Barefoot Bay RV Resort & Marina (5244 Pistol Mill Road, Pittsburg). Suitable for all ages, the event will feature live music, Wannabe Rockstar Karaoke, a live auction, raffles, and more to benefit the nonprofit Help Hope Live.
The NTCC Business Club worked tirelessly over the fall and spring semesters to raise funds to support the needs of college students and others in the surrounding community. As a result of those efforts, the club recently made donations to three great causes.
The Pittsburg Lions Club took on a month-long service project of collecting items for the Northeast Texas Child Advocacy Center’s needs closet. Items like hygiene products, blankets, coloring books, stickers, small toys, and of course a big box of stuffed lions. The Pittsburg Kiwanis Club presented the first graders (190) at the Primary School with dental hygiene kits. The kits included coloring books, crayons, and toothbrushes donated my Dr. Larry J. Richardson. Ms. Hilda Kay Eubank, age 71, of Pittsburg, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Pittsburg. She was born July 17, 1949 to Vester and Effie Miller Lindsey in Texarkana, Texas. Ms. Eubank was a retired Registered Nurse, were she worked Home Health.
