The Northeast Texas Community College Adult Education Program honored five deserving General Equivalency Diploma (GED) students during its recent GED Graduation ceremony by inducting them into the National Adult Education Honor Society (NAEHS). Those inducted were: (from left): Conner Mitleff of Mt. Pleasant, Chloe McGee of Talco, Theresa Kitchens of Mount Pleasant, Silvia Villa Garcia of Winfield and Tia Dailey of Hughes Springs. “We are proud to announce that Sanaa Hollins was selected to represent GLP and Pittsburg ISD as a Texas Girls Coaches Association Track & Field All-Star. This is an honor that only 20 young ladies from 1A, 2A, 3A, and 4A combined from Texas receive each year. Three NTCC history students emerged on top in the 2021 Bonnie Spencer competition, for the best student essays in history. Essays could have been entered from any history course from any history instructor, full-time or part-time, on campus or off, such as with embedded dual history classes.
