The City Council met in special session on Oct. 18. One of the items on the agenda was a public hearing and consideration of action on an agreement that would encourage new business in Pittsburg, namely Bottom Line Company. The contract specifies that if Bottom Line Co. meets the qualifications, they will be granted certain funds to cover qualifying expenses over a three year period. The amounts of these funds will be $70,000 for the first year, $20,000 for the second year, and $9,000 for the third year, not to exceed a total of $99,000. The contract states that Bottom Line Co. will provide 100 full time jobs with annual salaries averaging $70,000 and will be fully operational by the end of December 2022.
