Region VIII Education Service Center hosted a robotics competition on Dec. 10. High school students built machines complete with arms for lifting items and transporting them to their side of the arena.
Every year, a donation is given to the Junior High, Intermediate, Elementary, and Primary schools for children in need.
Members of the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce enjoyed a holiday “Mix and Mingle” at the Abernathy House in Pittsburg, hosted by Neoma Twining.
In honor of the Christmas season, the Pittsburg Camp County Arts Council performed an old-time classic with a new twist: It’s a Wonderful Life–A Live Radio Play, by Joe Landry. Directed by Sheila Brown who was ably assisted by April Pettigrew, the show was well received by old and young alike.
