When was Jesus born? That seems like such an innocuous question. The little children from our church know the answer.
To some, the season may genuinely feel like the most beautiful time of the year, but all of us know deep down that not ‘all’ is merry and bright in this world — or us. Some of you have endured loss or health concerns, and basting a turkey isn’t high on your list. Some of you are hurt, too, by broken relationships. And some of you are in the midst of trials beyond your control. Or maybe, you’ve created chaos in the mix and have regrets. Thus, you can barely breathe.
Let us please set aside the politics on the national level, because frankly, I have never seen or heard of a bigger load of steaming crap in my life than what is going on in our nation’s capital. I have stopped watching it, and my only comment on all of it is…Lord help us all.
