The Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce celebrated their 75th Anniversary of supporting the community and businesses in 2021. There were several accomplishments during 2021 in spite of some difficulties regarding the lingering effects of Covid-19. During 2021, the Chamber accomplished:
“There is no way that this winter is ever going to end.”
With the New Year upon us, the idea of change and doing new things can feel like a weight around the neck, especially if you’re a person who gets off track and has trouble following through on resolutions. That’s why staying on today’s path is a good place to begin. After all, your journey of this moment will come with enough choices of its own. So let’s not get sidelined with the future. Let’s live in the present. Besides, we all have a road to travel, and it’s like deciding which way to kick the football for some of us. We can’t decide if we’re playing offense or defense. Or if we’re running with the ball or making a pass.
As I reflect back on the past holiday season, I am reminded of how different the Christmas of 2021 looked compared to those of the more distant past.
The Texas Department of Transportation has kicked off its statewide “Drive Sober. No Regrets” drunk driving prevention program for the holidays. Throughout the month, TxDOT has released videos of people who deal with the daily consequences of driving while impaired, either as an offender or survivor.
