Pittsburg native and Rotarian Carolyn Franks will be established as the District Governor of Rotary International District 5830 during a ceremony to be held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on June 25.

High potassium and grass tetany

In the past, it was believed by many that grass tetany in cattle was primarily a result of a magnesium deficiency in soils and forages. But grass tetany, milk fever, and possible downer cow syndrome, according to more recent studies, is more likely to be a result of forages that are high in potassium.
