A much loved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, James (Preston) Kelley, 78, of Pittsburg, Texas, passed away peacefully at the home of his stepson in Lubbock, Tx on September 16th, 2022 with his family present. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer.
A’niya Robinson, 2022 Homecoming Queen, is the daughter of Monique Castleberry who is a 2000 graduate of PHS. She is involved in Sources of Strength, Student Council, softball, powerlifting, and is a student athlete trainer. In her free time, when she is not doing homework or working, she enjoys watching Netflix. After high school, she plans to attend Prairie View Texas A&M to pursue her dream of becoming a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Her favorite food is seafood and Cajun pasta and her favorite restaurants are Cheddars and Shell Shack. Her favorite classes are her career enhancement classes such as Anatomy and Physiology and EKG technician/Patient care technician. Lastly, she loves getting her nails done and getting eyelash extensions.
The Camp County Courthouse has an employee that is seldom recognized. A meticulous worker, Domingo Lopez arrives at the courthouse between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. every weekday morning to begin the day’s work.
The Carson House has a history older than the City of Pittsburg. Built by Pierce Ligon in 1878, the house has passed through many hands before being purchased by Mark and Sondra White in 2022.
