Roy Lee Vincent, 76, of Pittsburg, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Mayor David Abernathy was awarded a special recognition for his 55 years spent as a volunteer fire fighter in the Pittsburg-Camp County area. He began attending fires with his father before he can remember, but he was helping hold the fire hose at least by the tender age of four. His first real stint on the fire department was at the age of fifteen, and he has been serving with them ever since.
Representative Nathaniel Moran, recently elected to the Congressional House of Representatives, visited Pittsburg’s UT Health on February 14.
