Representative Cole Hefner held a town hall meeting at the Pittsburg Courthouse on June 26, and went into detail concerning several of the bills that the Texas legislature saw during this last regular session.
Norma Jean Nisbett Bates, 84, formerly of Pittsburg and Daingerfield, passed away on June 13, 2023, in Midlothian, Texas. A graveside service for Norma is planned for 2:00 PM Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, with Tim Gibbs officiating.
On June 12, Assistant Superintendent of CTE/ Student Services Jonathan Hill presented some updates to the Pittsburg ISD Board of Trustees. According to Hill, a total of 128 industry-based certifications were earned during the 2022-2023 school year by PISD high school students.
