TxDot weighs in on State Loop 255

Beginning construction in March 2021, State Loop 255 started out as Farm-to-Market Road 3535. But it was discovered that state funds were becoming difficult to procure, so the road was re-named State Loop 255. R&G Construction, LLC of Marshall won the bid for the project at $5.6 million. Camp County submitted $34,672 in matching funds to the state to build this road which will be roughly 3- 4 miles long when completed.
