Mayor Abernathy proclaims Lions Club’s 70th anniversary

Mayor David attended the Pittsburg Lions Club’s meeting last Thursday and read a proclamation in honor of the organization’s 70th anniversary. “70 years of providing outstanding leadership and service enriching Pittsburg and Camp County by serving together made a lasting impact,” Abernathy reads as part of the proclamation.

Pam Tillis, a country music artist and daughter of country music singer and songwriter Mel Tillis, performed at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts at Northeast Texas Community College on Tuesday, October 8. She is known for hits such as, “Shake the Sugar Tree”, “Maybe It Was Memphis”, and “Mi Vida Loca”. With multiple number ones and top ten singles, she’s generated three CMA awards, two Grammys, and numerous nominations.
