On Tuesday, October 29th, Pittsburg DBC had a special guest from Arlington, TX, Laura Perez, Alzheimer’s Organization Rep. Laura presented a brief overview of Alzheimer’s disease and how our club’s participation is so important in supporting patient care, research, and caregiver support. Pittsburg DBC has participated in Alzheimer’s Longest Day for the past three years. We raised $2500.00 for the Longest Day in June 2024. Our club will be participating in the Winter Solstice, December 21, the darkest day of the year. The Winter Solstice “marks a turning point where each following day brings a little more light as we move toward the Longest Day and a future without Alzheimer and all other dementia.”
