Mrs. Charlotte Poole, age 77 of Gilmer, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Longview. Mrs. Poole was born on December 28, 1942 in Winnsboro to the late Otis and Fay Browning Irby. She married Joe Poole on March 18, 1961, they were married for 59 years. Charlotte was a founding member of Beta Sigma Phi and attended Holy Trinity in Longview. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Irby; and sister, LaVonne Heartfield.

Funeral services for Jimmy (James) Henry Davis, 63, of Pittsburg will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Crossroads Cemetery in Camp County. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Davis passed away at his home on Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Immersed in love and surrounded by family and friends, Dee Ellzey Murphy, 85, passed away June 3, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born January 13, 1935 in Kilgore, Texas where she grew up with her mother, Myrtle Lambert Kissick, stepfather, W.J. “Doc” Kissick and sister, Melba Ellzey Lee. She graduated from Kilgore College and performed with the famous Kilgore Rangerettes and met her husband, Donald “Pat” Murphy. She attended East Central University in Oklahoma and went on to earn her Masters Degree in Education from Eastern Montana College. She taught elementary school for many years.
