Camp County Courthouse receives a facelift

The courthouse restoration project that has been in the works for three years has begun. Crews began by power washing the building, which was constructed in 1928. The courthouse immediately took on a new look. “It’s so bright and shines on the green lawn,” said several. Phase two includes excavating around the perimeter of the building to install a drainage system and waterproofing the basement area. Crews are also working to refurbish the south and east porticos and repair damaged brick on the building.

Try Lemon Balm in your Garden

Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis), also known as Bee Balm, is a particularly exciting herb for you to place in a shady spot of your garden. It’s perennial, requires little maintenance, expands through its roots, and has a great namesake fragrance. You can buy seeds, but those who already have it will usually (and perhaps gladly!) give you some clumps from their garden. Though perennial, leaves usually die in winter, only to come back with gusto in the spring! Bees love the herb so much that the name Melissa in Greek means bee, hence the alternate name of Bee Balm.
