When Jamie Morrison learned she would have to deliver her baby early because she was experiencing pregnancy complications, she wasn’t worried because of her background as a NICU nurse herself.
The Pittsburg ISD plans to present a bond election to the voters of Camp County in the near future. The last proposed bond election in Camp County for PISD was in May of 2016 for $11 million. This bond passed and was used to build the Jack Arnwine Gymnasium.
The PSID athletic teams were recognized on May 2 during the annual banquet held at Region 8. Several awards were presented as well as scholarships by the coaches and trainers who have spent many, many hours with these students and have begun to think of them almost as their own kids.
The Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) is preparing to transition to a greener form of energy based on government and agency pressures, international investors, and customer requests. Plans include shutting down the Pirkey Power plant in 2023, and ceasing coal operations in the Welsh Power plant in 2028.
