The Pittsburg Handicapable Rodeo took place on May 5 in spite of a few sprinkles of rain. Several students came to take part in the bull riding, horse riding, hayride, and roping as well as enjoy a hot lunch for their efforts.
Terry Lynn Heath, 51, of Pittsburg, was arrested last week on 10 charges from multiple counties.

The Camp County Commissioners Court awarded the bid for the Jail Expansion Project to Tegrity Contractors during their regular meeting on May 3. Deciding upon the second option out of several, this bid will expand the jail from its current 34 beds to 52.
