This year, February has 29 days. Once every four years, February gets a bonus day and when it happens, it’s known as a leap year. What is a leap year? Well, it has to do with how many days there are in an average year (which is 365) and the earth’s rotation around the sun. And if you happen to be born on leap day February 29, that doesn’t mean you only celebrate a birthday every four years. Every three years, you get to celebrate your birthday on March 1st and continue to grow old like the rest of us.
