The order has been drawn for eight proposed amendments to the much-amended Texas Constitution that will appear on the Nov. 2 ballot. The proposed amendments were approved by at least two thirds of both houses of the state Legislature. According to the Austin American-Statesman, they include:
Ok before I get started I want to qualify what you are about to read. I do not watch the Olympics. I know the names of very few Olympians. What I have followed has been via either social media or a sports media app. In addition, these are my opinions, take them as you wish. We are free to have our opinions and I will respect yours, even if I don’t agree, so please do the same. Now, on to the topic at hand.
Before I get into this, I want to say that I am a firm believer that everyone deserves body autonomy. I don’t think that anyone should be required to do something to themselves that they don’t want to do. That being said, I am begging you to get vaccinated.
I saw a post on social media yesterday that drew my ire. It was a simple post, and all it said was to post the name of people you knew who had actually had, or died from, Covid-19. I refrained from responding because the subject is such a debatable one and didn’t see the need to get into a pointless debate on Fakebook. But then today, my thoughts on the matter have changed, so here we go.
