I dropped my son off at the school before 5:30 a.m. this morning for his first day of two-a-day practice. In just a few short weeks, he and his teammates should be taking the field for their first football game of the 2020 season.
I have no doubt that if Mark Twain were alive today and shopping for mint at the local Brookshire’s store, he would leave happily with purchase in hand, thinking to himself, “The report of the death of customer service is an exaggeration.”
I know it isn’t springtime anymore, but I really think that’s reason in itself to write this. Kids have been home from school since spring break. If you have younger kids, this means that every surface in your home has been touched by grimy little hands every single day for months. We never really got the chance to spring clean, so let’s get on that today.
Janice Oliver passed away July 19, 2020 at UT Health East Texas –Pittsburg, at the age of 68. Her funeral service was Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Pittsburg, Texas with Rev. B.R. Hargest as eulogist and burial was at Union Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Pittsburg, Texas.
Fannie Lou Garrett, 86, formerly of Daingerfield passed away on Friday July 17, 2020 at Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Navasota Texas. Cremation services have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
