Graveside services for Ruth Weaver, 100, of Granbury, Texas, formerly of Pittsburg, Texas were held Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Camp County under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg.

Mrs. Weaver died Monday, April 8, 2019 at 2:30 a.m., in Courtyards at Lake Granbury in Granbury, Texas. She was born July 14, 1918 in Center, Texas to the late Ples and Effie Annie Grimsley McWhorter.

Mrs. Weaver retired from her beauty shop after many years of self-employment.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dolphus William “Mickey” Weaver of 50-plus years of marriage, three brothers, Harmon C. McWhorter, Roy G. McWhorter, Percy E. McWhorter; one sister, Ruby L. McWhorter Campbell; and son-in-law, Kenneth Pritchett.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Pritchett of Granbury and Rita Sue Weaver-Hirsch of Mineola; and two grandsons, Kenneth Kyle Pritchett and wife, Sharokina of California and Michael Alan Pritchett of Granbury.

In lieu of flowers, and if you choose, the family requests memorial contributions in Ruth Weaver’s name be made to Ebenezer Cemetery Association, care of Erman Smith Funeral Home, 315 Rusk Street, Pittsburg, Texas 75686.
