RICHARDS

George Stultz Richards, 91, a resident of Pittsburg formerly of Wylie, passed away Thursday afternoon December 17, 2020 at home with hospice care.

George was born August 11, 1929 to Guy Henderson Richards and Nevada Rebecca Stultz Richards in Wylie, TX. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army. In 1953 he wed Nancy Corley, and they raised four daughters. George was a rancher and businessman, who lived each day with joy and purpose – always thinking of others and brimming with ideas, he usually had a yellow tablet at hand for “figuring.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 64 years, his sister Jimmy Feagin, and son-in-law Carle David Hunt.

He is survived by his daughters Georgann Hunt, Gretchen Trimble and husband Dr. Ted Trimble, Guylyn Peel and husband Jack, and Gina McNeal and husband Melvin; 12 grandchildren: Lara Cantu and husband Philip, Sheila Yguerabide and husband Gilbert, Walker Hunt, James Trimble, Tyler Trimble and wife Rachel, Sarah Trimble, Rebekah Strube and husband Eric, Melissa Trimble and Darren, Corley Peel, Chelsea Peel, Casey McNeal, and Lindsey McNeal; as well as 11 great grandchildren: Mia Cantu, Tomas Cantu, Mario Zakrajsek, Ezekiel Trimble, Gretchen Nancy Trimble, Jocie Strube, Isabela Gatewood, Hailey Yguerabide, Layla Yguerabide, Levi Hunt, and Allison Hunt.
