JOHNSON

Katie Rene Johnson passed away on April 26, 2020, at her home in Pittsburg at the age of 105. Her graveside services were Saturday, May 2, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Hickory Hill Cemetery with Rev. Terry Moton as eulogist and burial was at Hickory Hill Cemetery, Pittsburg, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home, Pittsburg, Texas.

KISNER

Mrs. Mildred “Mickey” Smith Kisner, age 93, of Pittsburg passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at UT Health Pittsburg. Mrs. Kisner was born March 11, 1927, in Camp County, Texas to Ollie Richard and Ivy Lisman Smith.

She was of Baptist faith and a loving mother and wife.

Mrs. Kisner is survived by her children; Connie & BG Gilbert of Bivins, Sheila & Craig Clemmons of Talco, Randy Kisner of Pittsburg, Tammie Hermansen and Larry Walton of Houston; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jewel Pilgrim of Pittsburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Kisner; her parents; son, Richard Kisner; and a daughter, Brenda Gail Peckham.

Graveside service was held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Macedonia Cemetery officiated by Bro. Kyle Smith. There is no visitation scheduled.

ROSS

A private funeral service and internment for George Wyatt Ross, 65, of Pittsburg, was held at Rose Hill Cemetery. Caleb Ross and Jacob Ross officiated. Mr. Ross passed away Monday, April 27, 2020, in a Mt. Pleasant nursing home due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.

Mr. Ross was born November 21, 1954, in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to John Gaston Ross and Rnell Strickland Ross. Mr. Ross served six years in the United States Army. He then worked as a plant operator for Texas Utilities in Monticello from 1977-2012.

He is survived by his wife, Karma Ross; sons, Caleb Ross and Jacob Ross; brothers, Patrick Ross, Randy Ross, and Sidney Ross; sister, Deborah Blount; three grandchildren, Averie Ross, Ashtyn Ross, Jax Wyatt Ross; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ross is preceded in death by his parents, brother; John Michael Ross, and nephew P.J. Ross.

Pallbearers were Caleb Ross, Jacob Ross, Patrick Ross, Randy Ross, and Sidney Ross.

Due to Covid-19, no formal visitation was scheduled.
