Private Graveside Services were held on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery.

A Private Graveside services for Doyle Glynn Nugent, 84, of Pittsburg was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2020 at Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating. Interment followed in Willow Oak Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Nugent passed away, Saturday, April 4, 2020 in a Pittsburg nursing home.

Mr. Nugent was born August 25, 1935 in Upshur County to Henry Clay and Lizzie Farmer Nugent. He retired after 30 plus years from the Texas Department of Highway Road Division, retired Farmer, member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg and member of the Men’s Monday Night Bible Study at Pittsburg RV Center.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Nugent and wife, Debbie; daughters, Glenda Lee and husband Gerald Brummell, Annette Nugent and Lizann Taylor and husband, Billy; sister, Sue Waller and special friend and caregiver, Michelle Carr; grandchildren, Dillon Lee, Casey Mayben, Matt Taylor, Aaron Nugent, Tyler Nugent, Jason Humbert and Jana Corbitt; great-grandchildren, Trista Taylor, Channing Taylor, Bryar Taylor, Mason Lee, Karsyn Lee, Ruby Lee, Kenlie Mayben, Keyton Mayben, Landon Nugent, Garrett Nugent, Hadley Nugent, Lylah Humbert and Easton Corbitt.

Mr. Nugent is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pilgrim Nugent; and his parents.

Pallbearers were be Dillon Lee, Matt Taylor, Mason Lee, Keyton Mayben, Aaron Nugent, Tyler Nugent and Jason Humbert.

Honorary Pallbearers were Men’s Monday Night Bible Study at Pittsburg RV Center.

Due to the National COVID-19 Health Crisis there was no formal visitation and the service was held privately.
